Gauge: Approx. 9 sts / 13 rows in stockinette = 4 x 4 in (10 x 10 cm).
Needles: Circular US17 / 12mm, 36 in (90 cm) (for stockinette body and chunky sleeves).
Circular / double-pointed US13 / 9mm and US15 / 10mm (for cuffs on chunky sleeves and sleeve openings).
Circular / double-pointed US8 / 6mm and US10 / 5mm (for light sleeves).
Difficulty: Advanced Beginner.
Yarn: Approx. 1100 (1200) 1700 (1900) g ‘Natur Uld’ from Hjertegarn (100 g = approx. 109 yd / 100 m),
worked with a double strand. Yarn amount includes both chunky and light sleeves.

The ‘What The Hack Sweater’ is a chunky, oversized sweater with interchangeable/detachable sleeves in two different weights. Without sleeves, it can be worn as a vest or layered under/over a jacket. Sleeves are attached using leather ‘Sleeve Snaps’ looped through an eyelet at the shoulder seam on the wrong side of the work.
This pattern includes instructions for the vest and both sleeve styles (chunky and light). Chunky sleeves are worked with two strands of yarn and match the vest's gauge. Light sleeves are worked with one strand and finer needles. Watch What The Hack Sweater demonstrated [here].
