About Striksakken

Striksakken is a world of knitting and leather, shaped by playfulness, thoughtful details, and a deep love for the handmade.

Behind Striksakken is Kir Qvortrup, who founded the brand in 2021. From her small workshop in Frederiksberg, she designs knitting patterns, leather accessories, and leather tools for knitting – always leaving room for whimsical ideas, unconventional solutions, and small surprises in both construction and detail.

Kir has a particular fondness for the moment when an idea takes shape between the hands: from a single skein of yarn or a piece of raw leather to a finished design. This transformation is the driving force behind Striksakken and runs through both the knitwear and the accessories.

Striksakken’s designs balance practicality with playfulness. They are created for everyday wear, yet many can easily be styled for celebrations and special occasions thanks to distinctive constructions, textures, and details. Here, knitting is both craftsmanship, immersion, and a way to express personality.

Beyond knitwear, Striksakken also includes a small selection of leather products for family life – thoughtful, well-designed leather hacks that make life with children both easier and more beautiful. The inspiration comes directly from Kir’s own life as a mother of three, living in the capital with her husband, where functionality and aesthetics must go hand in hand.

At fairs and festivals, Striksakken also offers yarn carefully selected for each design, allowing customers to put together complete kits with printed patterns, yarn, and leather accessories. Yarn is sold exclusively in connection with fairs and events.
