Sizes: A (B) C (D) refer to measurements in the chart before embarking on the work.
Gauge: 20 stitches x 26 rows = 10 x 10 cm / 4 x 4 in. (stockinette stitch on needle size 4mm / US 6).
Recommended needles:
- 3mm / 40cm (US 2.5 / 16 in.) circular needles or 3mm (US 2.5) jumper needles for the hat straps casing. - 4mm / 40cm (US 6 / 16 in.) circular needle or 4mm (US 6) double-pointed needles for the stockinette hat. - 3mm (US 2.5) double-pointed needles for the i-cord at the top.
Difficulty: Beginner - Intermediate
Yarn Suggestions: 40 (40) 40 (80) g Highland Fine Wool, 40 g / 180 m AND 25 (25) 25 (50) g Silk Kid Mohair, 25 g / approx. 210 m, both from Hjertegarn (One strand of each yarn type held together).
'Snap Beret' is worked bottom up in Stockinette Stitch with a casing for leather 'Hat Strap', I-cord or ribbon.
