Veras Pandebånd is a dense and chunky headband with rolling edges in stockinette stitch and an elastic middle in single rib. The headband matches Vera's Poncho.
The pattern is beginner friendly and suitable as a first knitting project. Veras Pandebånd is also a great scrap yarn yarn project.
Both the rolling edges and the ribbed middle can be adjusted in width by knitting more or fewer rounds - try the headband on along the way to adjust. A scratch-free yarn choice is recommended, as the headband fits tightly around the child's head. Finnish off the project with a leather knitwear name tag from Striksakken.
