'Baby Vestedisse' is a modern interpretation of the classic baby vest, valued for its functionality and timeless appeal.
The vest is worked in 2 x 2 rib, which provides flexibility and allows the garment to grow with the child. This stitch pattern also ensures a snug, warm fit without compromising comfort.
The design is constructed as one continuous piece, worked from the bottom up. The project begins at the lower edge of the front, creating a smooth and simple transition without the need for seaming.
A distinctive design feature is the set of buckle openings on both sides of the vest. These allow for the attachment of leather snaps, serving both as a decorative element and a practical closure that makes the vest easy to put on and take off - even when baby is on the move.

This project combines basic techniques such as garter stitch, ribbing, and slipped edge stitches with buttonholes, bind-offs, and casting on new stitches. The work is divided into front sections, and a garter-stitch button band is worked. Some experience with reading patterns and basic shaping is recommended.
