Halter Snap Cool is a simple stockinette top that closes at the back of the neck with a Leather Snap from Striksakken. Use it as a sun top or as a 'slip over' over a shirt. It is worked top to down. To avoid the stockinette fabric from curling, the edges in the back, bottom hem and neck are laid double and sewn down with kitchener stitch (if preferred the edges can be knitted or crocheted down). Finally the Leather Snaps are mounted in the two neck piece openings.

Knitting gauge: 17 stitches / 27 rows in stockinette stitch = 10 x 10 cm / 4 x 4 inch. (worked with two strands of yarn held together).
Suggested needles: Circular needle 60 cm (24 inch.) / Double pointed needles 4 mm (US 6) and Circular needle 60 cm (24 inch.) / Jumper needles 3 mm (US 2.5)
Difficulty: Beginner - Intermediate
Yarn suggestions: 100 (100) 100 (150) 150 g Organic Trio from Hjertegarn (50 g / 230 m) worked with 2 strands held together. Note, in parts of the pattern only 1 of the 2 strands are in use.
Additional equipment: Darning / sewing needle
