Gauge: 17 stitches, 21 rows = 10 x 10 cm in stockinette stitch.
Recommended Needles: 
-2 Circular needles, US 9 / 5.5mm, 36 in. (90 cm); one of the circular needles is used as a
helper needle when joining the top of the hood (scarf section is worked using the ‘Magic Loop’ technique). 
- Circular needle, US 6 / 4mm, 36 in. (90 cm) for i-cord bind-off around the hood opening.  
- Circular needle, US 2.5 / 3mm, 16 in. (40 cm) for double-knit setup.  
- Optional: Double-pointed needles, US 9 / 5.5mm for knitting the scarf section in the round.  
- Optional: Crochet hook for the loop.  
Additional Materials: One button.  
Difficulty Level: Intermediate.  
Yarn Suggestion: 300g Hjerte Alpaca 50g / approx. 167m together with 75g Silk Kid Mohair 25g / approx. 210m from Hjertegarn.  
2 strands of Hjerte Alpaca and 1 strand of Silk Kid Mohair held together = total of 3 strands.  

‘Tie Hood’ is a scarf with an attached hood. First, the scarf is knitted in stockinette stitch with decreases at both ends.  
The hood is worked bottom up in double knitting from the center of the scarf. Finally, stitches are picked up along the hood opening, which is finished with an i-cord bind-off. If you wish to close the hood under the chin, a button is sewn onto the scarf section, which can be fastened with a crocheted loop.
